Sela Visits "Wonder" at the Renwick Gallery

Sela K-2 students had the unbelievable opportunity to visit the Renwick Gallery last week. The Renwick Gallery is home to the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s collection of contemporary craft and decorative art. During this STEaM field trip, children learned how everyday items made with natural (i.e. insects, trees, branches) and processed materials (i.e. tires, nets, marbles) could be resused and shaped into beautiful art. The exhibit, Wonder, left our children speechless and the expression on their tiny faces was priceless!
